This is what I can get? …

I run Shadow Labyrinths over and over to get my guildmates keyed for Kara. I wanted the Shoulderpads of Assassination so I ran Setthek Halls about a million times. And now every other druid I know (not me though, cause I am endlessly poor) is trying to get their epic flying form, so we’re doing Setthek over again in Heroic mode.
And what have I gotten out of all these runs? Lots and lots of Spirit Shards that I have really no use for. I’m lucky on my server that the Alliance are pretty much always in charge of the world pvp objective in Terrokar Forest, so I can’t remember the last time I went into an instance in Auchindoun and DIDN’T receive Spirit Shards for my efforts. I just wish I could actually USE them….
The rewards you can buy with the shards are all pretty low quality, in fact only two purples are even offered, and they’re mostly pvp items. I put the image with the stats for the one ring that I could possibly use, the Band of the Exorcist. It’s got decent stats, but the resilience seems to be pretty wasted if you’re not a pvper. I know that the shards are obtained partially because of the world pvp objective, but could we not have some other rewards for us non-pvpers who still have loads of shards?? Please Blizzard! I’ll take anything!
But until then…. I will continue to look at my stack of shards just sitting in my bank … taking up precious space (and don’t get me started on how little bag/bank space I have, that’s a whole other post! lol)
Tonight I’m off to Kara, our raid team is calling down Nightbane for the first time, and hopefully tackling Illhoof again so I can get my preciousdps staff. So wish us luck!

Hello. I’m a bear, and a tank, and also a girl, on Al’Akir EU. The Spirit Shard rewards are terrible for us, but think of all the lovely rep and heroic badges! The new feral idol from the next patch is very nice =)
Buy health potions with them.
In 2.3, we’ll be able to pop potions and healthstones at the cost of our rage/energy. Trade them with guildies for Super Healing Potions to get a Super Healing Potion injector (also usable by non-engineers in 2.3) to conserve bag space.
